IND Vs IRE T20 World Cup: That is why you should never judge a bowler from his IPL performances. The selection of Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh in the Indian squad for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 was heavily criticized.

The main source of criticism was their IPL performances where they were quite poor. But both of them have started their T20 World Cup campaign with a bang as they toppled Ireland batting.

Arshdeep dominated the Powerplay and Pandya took the baton from him after the first 6 overs. Both of them sent half of Ireland's batting order back to the pavilion combined and it was beautiful to watch both of them.

Arshdeep On A Roll

Arshdeep bowled an economical first over followed by Siraj doing the same. Everyone could feel that something was going to happen. Either that batsman or the bowler was about to give in to the pressure.

And it was Arshdeep who came out on top with an over so beautiful that you could write a book about it. Every delivery was on perfect line and length. He got the wicket of Paul Stirling on the first delivery.

The next five deliveries were like a tough exam for Andy Balbirnie who had no answer against Arshdeep. After four outswinger he bowled a straight delivery to clean bowled Andy for good.

Hardik Pandya Is Back

We have to praise Hardik Pandya as well who was heavily criticized in IPL 2024. A brilliant inswinging delivery against Lorcan Tucker might be the wicket of the tournament.

He took 3 wickets in his 4 overs with an economy of just over 6. It is a good sign for the Indian team if Pandya can bowl four overs in every match. It not only increases the depth of the team but also gives Rohit Sharma an extra weapon.

IND Vs IRE T20 World Cup: Dominant India

India annihilated Ireland's batting with sensational and disciplined bowling. The lower order put up some fight but the Green and Whites failed to touch even 100 runs and were bowled out on 97 runs.

India has a very low target so it will be interesting to see how they will go about chasing. Whether they will be aggressive from the start of will take their sweet time like South Africa.
