IND vs SA T20I 2022: Suryakumar Yadav continued his stellar performance in the T20I format in Guwahati, where he became the third Indian batsman to surpass 1000 runs in the game’s shortest format. Suryakumar crossed the 24-run mark on October 2 in Guwahati during the second T20I match against South Africa. He achieved this feat in 31 innings.

He has created one more record in the same match i.e. joint second fastest fifty in T20I by an Indian. He achieved the same feat in just 18 balls.
It only took Virat Kohli 27 innings to accumulate 1000 runs in T20Is, making him the fastest Indian player to do so. Next on the list and having completed the feat in 29 innings is KL Rahul. Suryakumar joins an elite group of batters that includes the likes of Suresh Raina, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, Yuvraj Singh, and Rohit Sharma as the ninth Indian batter to achieve this feat.
Suryakumar Yadav has been an unstoppable beast since he made his international debut in 2021 after a few extremely successful Indian Premier League seasons because of his tendency to target bowlers from the very first ball. The player that presently scores the most runs in the shortest format in 2022 is Suryakumar, who first displayed promise in 2021 and has significantly progressed.
