IND vs SL: Even though team India is yet to bat, the debutant Rahul Tripathi has already created a magical moment to make his India debut special. The 31-year-old made a spectacular catch at deep midwicket to dismiss Pathum Nissanka of Sri Lanka.

Nissanka hit a slot delivery from Axar Patel in the 12th over of the first innings straight out of the meat of his bat into deep mid-wicket. The batsman would have thought he made a strong enough connection to throw the ball beyond the boundary line. Rahul Tripathi, though, made a quick move to his left, centred himself as the ball whirled in the wind, and made a superb grab at chest height.

The fact that the catch wasn't as simple as he made it seem supports his reputation as one of the top fielders in the nation. Pathum Nissanka was in disbelief at what had just occurred. Sri Lanka scored 206 runs in their innings of 20 overs.

Earlier, India won the toss and chose to bowl against an unchanged Sri Lanka. India made two changes to their lineup: Sanju Samson was replaced by Tripathi, while Harshal Patel was replaced by Arshdeep Singh.
