IND vs ZIM, T20 World Cup 2022: Choosing to bat first after winning the toss, the Indian side got off to a poor start, scoring only 18 runs in the first three overs without any runs going on from the first over. Rohit Sharma, the captain, attempted to break free but was eventually removed after scoring 15 runs off of 13 deliveries.
Virat Kohli and KL Raul attempted to boost the pace and enjoyed a partnership of more than 50 runs, but both of them were quickly dismissed. At number five, Rishabh Pant entered the batting order for his debut game of the current ICC T20 World Cup. Many had anticipated that Roshabh Pant would take full advantage of this chance, but his innings only lasted 5 deliveries.

Coming to the game, Suryakumar Yadav once again performed a game-defining innings, scoring 65 runs in 25 deliveries, including 6 fours and 4 sixes. KL Rahul added a half-century of his own, and Viraqt Kohli contributed a useful 26-run effort to help the Indian team reach a total of 186 runs.
Rishabh Pant was included in the playing 11 today in place of Dinesh Karthik, who had played all the matches or league stage earlier. However, Dinesh didn’t look in good touch with the bat either as he scored just 14 runs.
