Asia Cup 2023: The Indian team has finally kicked off the Asia Cup 2023 preparation with a special camp at Alur. The team is all ready to kick off the sub-continental tournament and is just taking the final steps.

There were many doubts about the fitness regarding KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer. The duo has not played a competitive match for a long time now and are just returning from injuries.

While KL Rahul did not bat and did light training separately, Shreyas Iyer batted alongside Virat Kohli and looked comfortable. Indian team practiced for almost 6 hours with many variations.

Important Training Points

The 6-hour training session on Friday involved lots of variations by the Indian team. The batsmen were separated into pairs with each pair getting almost 1 hour of playing time.

Skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill opened the practice and scored almost 80 runs in their allotted time. Shreyas Iyer and Virat Kohli were the second pair and looked comfortable. It was worth noticing that Sai Kishore and Kuldeep Yadav bowled lots of deliveries to Kohli.

Hardik Pandya and Ravindra Jadeja were the final pair and played lots of big strokes. There were 10-12 net bowlers at the venue. Shreyas Iyer looked comfortable batting for a long time without any hiccups.
