India beat South Africa by 7 wickets in the third and final ODIs to take three-match series home at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. Chasing the easy target of 100 runs, India lost two wickets but Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer held the nerves to guide the home team to the winning line.
Earlier, India bundled out Proteas for just 99 runs, following the spectacular bowling effort from all the bowlers. Kuldeep Yadav was the pick of the bowlers for the Shikhar Dhawan-led Indian team as the left leg spinner got four wickets. Other than Kuldeep, Washington Sundar, Mohammed Siraj and Shahbaz Ahmed got two wickets apiece.
In the end, India defeated South Africa in both T20Is and ODIs by 2-1.
The senior team is currently in Australia for the preparations of the upcoming T20 World Cup. From the current team, Shreyas Iyer is set to fly Australia as he is in the list of standby players.
