INDW vs AUSW: These 3 players from both sides will determine the result of Wednesday’s match

INDW vs AUSW

INDW vs AUSW: The intriguingly tied five-match T20I series between Australia Women and India Women is currently at 1-1. At the Dr. DY Patil Sports Academy in Navi Mumbai, where the visitors won the first game by nine wickets, the home team roared back to win the second T20I in an exciting Super Over match. The famous Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai will now serve as the scene for the remainder of the series.

In an effort to improve their preparations for the following major event, which will take place in South Africa in February 2023, the Women’s T20 World Cup 2020 finalists will square off against one another in the third T20I on Wednesday, December 14. This T20 match, like the majority of them, has a lot riding on its matchups and subplots. This could take a decisive turn in the third T20I because a number of Australian players haven’t yet been put to the test and India needs some of their own to join the fray.

Let’s examine three player confrontations that may determine the course of Wednesday’s game.

Smriti Mandhana vs Megan Schutt

Indian opening batsman against deadly Australian new-ball weapon. This may simply define which of the two sides will be able to take the initiative first and set the terms of the negotiation.

This is due to Smriti Mandhana’s excellent batting performance, which included her winning Player of the Match for her 49-ball 79 in the second T20I. Megan Schutt lost to Annabel Sutherland in both games of the series, but one would think that if Australia wanted to stop the juggernaut early, Megan Schutt would have to perform at her highest level. The left-hander usually loses the ball due to her natural angle. To prevent India’s vice-captain from having another significant impact, Australia may want to consider packing the off-side field with a few slips.

Deepti Sharma vs Beth Mooney

The level of Beth Mooney’s consistency is unmatched. Every time she plays India, the Australian opener tends to take that to entirely new levels, and it has been the same this time as well.

For context, the southpaw has not yet been thrown out despite posting scores of 89 and 82 thus far in this series. Against her and her partner in crime Tahlia McGrath, the hosts have appeared utterly incompetent, so getting past them will be essential to their cause.

Jemimah Rodrigues vs Alana King

Jemimah Rodrigues did exceptionally well at the Asia Cup and the Commonwealth Games, but she hasn’t yet made a splash in the series against Australia. She will try to leave her own mark in the crucial third T20I in front of her home crowd in Mumbai.

She faces an uphill battle in the form of Alana King. Leg-spinner Jess Jonassen is as skilled an operator as they come and has taken on an even more crucial role for the Australians now that she is injured and unable to play.

The Brabourne Stadium is predicted to be a good batting surface, and Rodrigues should enjoy facing spin given his exceptional skill against it. However, King’s cunning ball handling strategy won’t make it any simpler, making this a tantalising matchup.
