INDW vs ENGW: England team has cruised past with a stunning victory against India Women. In the crucial encounter, INDW failed to chase the target of 152 runs. England Women Cricket team was successful in restricting India’s batting to 140/5 in 20 overs. For India, Smriti Mandhana played a brave knock of 52 runs from 41 balls but failed to cross the line. Sarah Glenn took two wickets while Lauren Bell took a wicket as well. Richa Ghosh tried to clinch the win with her 47-run knock but her knock went in vain as well. She smashed four boundaries and one six in her inning.

ENGW advances further with clinical win
Earlier, opener Shafali Verma was dismissed cheaply with the score of 8 runs from 11 balls. Jemimah failed to perform as she was dismissed on the score of 13 runs. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur was also dismissed with a low score of 4 runs from 6 balls. Deepti Sharma scored 7 runs off 9 balls.
While Renuka Thakur stole the show with her fifer, she also gave up just 15 runs in her four-over spell. Apart from her, Shikha Pandey and Deepti Sharma also claimed a wicket each. For England, Nat Sciver scored a valiant fifty while skipper Knight scored 28 runs. In the end, 40 run cameo by Amy Jones set the tone for them as they breached the 150-run mark.

Earlier, with five wickets, Indian bowler Renuka Singh Thakur shone as India held a competitive England team to 151 for 7 after 20 overs. Harmanpreet Kaur, who had earlier won the toss, decided to field first. The game was already a crucial encounter for both sides as each of them had victories to their name and required this one to cement their spot in the semifinal.
