He showed that class once again against Hyderabad on Monday. While everyone was even struggling to score a single, Surya came and scored at a free flow rate to get Mumbai out of another tough situation.
Mumbai Indians started on a good note as they scored 26 runs in two overs. But a weird collapse happened and MI was only able to add 4 more runs in the next two overs and lost 3 wickets. That is when Surya Kumar and Tilak Verms started rebuilding the innings in style.

It was rebuilding time, but Surya made sure to keep the required run rate in mind as well. He scored at a rapid rate and completed his century in just 51 deliveries. The century included 12 boundaries and 6 sixes.
It was a sensational inning as it not only got Mumbai out of another embarrassing situation but also guided them towards a comfortable victory. It was his 6th T20 hundred and it came at the perfect time.
The bashing he gave Pat Cummins would have satisfied so many Indian fans as Mumbai won the match in the 17th over only. This loss has resulted in SRH remaining in fourth position with the same points as LSG and CSK.

Once again, Sky has come in form at the perfect time for the Indian team. Both Hardik Pandya and Surya Kumar Yadav came into form right before the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 and will look to continue this form.
