The mega IPL 2022 auction is underway in Bengaluru, many players had gone big while many were left unsold. Meanwhile, midway the auctioneer Hugh Edmeades, 62, collapsed on the stage while presenting Wanindu Hasaranga’s bid. Soon after the incident, early lunch break was taken and Mr. Charu Sharma took the auction proceeding as auctioneer.
“Mr. Hugh Edmeades, the IPL Auctioneer, had an unfortunate fall due to Postural Hypotension during the IPL Auction this afternoon,” says a tweet from IPL official handle.
“The medical team attended to him immediately after the incident & he is stable. Mr. Charu Sharma will continue with the Auction proceedings today, the statement further said.
