IPL Viral Video: During the game against the Mumbai Indians on Sunday, Punjab Kings’ fast bowler, Arshdeep Singh, displayed a masterclass in death bowling. Interestingly, not only did his bowling capture attention, but also the LED stumps, which became a topic of discussion thanks to his performance. Singh delivered his final two overs exceptionally well, which ultimately helped PBKS secure a 13-run victory. In the last over, he successfully defended 16 runs and only conceded two, while also dismissing Tilak Varma and Nehal Wadhera. On both occasions, he delivered exceptional deliveries and managed to break the middle stump of the batters, resulting in their dismissal.
Arshdeep Singh breaks the stumps twice
Arshdeep delivered a full and straight ball, which was enough to do the trick. With just four deliveries remaining and 15 runs needed, Tilak had no choice but to take a big swing, only to see his middle stump shattered into two pieces. This resulted in a slight delay in the match, as a new stump was installed, only for Arshdeep to break it once again with his very next delivery. In a perfect repetition of the previous dismissal, the ball hit the middle stump with force, breaking it into two pieces once again.
As soon as Arshdeep Singh finished his remarkable final over, the cost of the LED stumps he broke twice quickly went viral on social media. According to multiple reports, a set of LED stumps can cost up to $40,000, which is equivalent to 32.81 lakh. Since the middle stump was broken twice in two consecutive deliveries, the BCCI likely had to spend a considerable amount of money to at least replace the middle stump.

Regarding Arshdeep’s bowling performance, he was outstanding in the match where a total of 415 runs were scored in just 40 overs, as he only conceded 29 runs in his four-over spell. He was particularly impressive in his last two overs, where he conceded just 11 runs and picked up three crucial wickets. In total, he took four wickets and played a crucial role in Punjab Kings’ fourth victory.
