Ravi Bishnoi pulls off a stunner

After Sikandar Raza’s dismissal, the Punjab Kings’ aspirations of successfully pursuing a target of 258 runs against the Lucknow Super Giants took a significant hit. Soon after Raza’s departure, Ravi Bishnoi took the vital wicket of Atharva Taide, further dampening the Kings’ chances.

Taide attempted a slog sweep, but the tossed-up googly caused him to hit the ball straight up in the air without enough elevation. Bishnoi carefully tracked the ball, took a few steps back, and caught it securely against his chest. Despite losing his balance and falling on his back, he successfully held onto the ball.

The dismissal of Taide proved to be a major setback for the Punjab Kings, considering he was a well-set batsman who had amassed an impressive 66 runs off a mere 36 deliveries. Taide’s innings included eight boundaries and two sixes, showcasing his remarkable stroke play. However, despite his valiant efforts, he couldn’t steer his team to victory.
