Ishan Kishan: On December 30, while the Indian cricketer was making his way to Roorkee, his birthplace, wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant was involved in a serious vehicle accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. Pant reportedly broke the car's windscreen in order to escape while his high-end vehicle was on fire.

However, Pant was saved in time by a couple of bus staff who were able to pull him out of the vehicle despite suffering numerous severe wounds, including burns.The batsman was taken to Max Hospital in Dehradun. Kishan was taking selfies with supporters when someone told him about Pant's accident as he was playing for Jharkhand in a Ranji Trophy match.

Ishan Kishan, a fellow Indian wicket-keeper, learned of Pant's injuries during a game from fans as the entire cricketing community and the fans prayed for his rapid recovery. When he learned of Pant's mishap, Kishan was actually surprised.

While taking a selfie, a fan said “Rishabh Pant ka accident ho gaya hai.” To which Ishan, while giving a shocked reaction, said “Kyaa?” The video of that moment is below:

A few fans then urged him to keep his focus on the match he had come to play and to not dwell too much on what had happened.

While Pant's recovery continues to be the current main topic. The batsman has been declared to be safe, but it is unlikely that he will play cricket for the next four to six months whenever he returns to the field.
