Jay Shah: As per reports, BCCI secretary, Jay Shah, has been appointed as the head of the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) Finance and Commercial Affairs (F&CA) committee, strengthening the BCCI’s position within the organisation. His appointment will become official during the board’s annual meeting.
Jay Shah to handle financial decisions
Ross McCollum, who will soon retire, will be replaced by Jay Shah, who was reappointed as the BCCI secretary at the organization’s 91st annual general meeting last month. Jay Shah will oversee the activities of the significant committee. Prior to receiving ICC board approval, the F&CA committee determines the important financial policy decisions.

The committee also decides ultimately on the annual budget allocations from the ICC’s overall revenue pool as well as the allocations for ICC tournaments each cycle. In place of former Indian captain and BCCI president Sourav Ganguly, Shah arrived in Australia along with the newly appointed IPL chairman Arun Dhumal to attend the ICC Board meetings in Melbourne. Dhumal will be appointed to the committee of chief executives in the meanwhile.
Greg Barclay reappointed as ICC chairman
Greg Barclay has been re-elected as the chairman of the ICC for a second two-year term, the cricket organisation said earlier today.

“It is an honor to be re-elected as the Chair of the International Cricket Council and I would like to thank my fellow ICC Directors for their support. Over the last two years, we have made significant strides forward with the launch of our global growth strategy that provides clear direction to build a successful and sustainable future for our sport,” Barclay said in an official statement to the ICC after he was appointed the ICC Chairman for a second term.
