Lionel Messi to stay away from the camp

As a result, Messi is anticipated to be absent for a minimum of the next two matches for PSG. Additionally, the Argentine World Champion will not be permitted to train or participate in team activities throughout the suspension. Prior to this, PSG had declined Messi’s request to travel to Saudi Arabia. It is worth noting that Messi has a commercial agreement with Saudi Arabia to endorse tourism in the Middle Eastern nation.

The timing of the suspension appears to be untimely, considering PSG’s intention to extend the contract of the Argentine star beyond the current season. The situation seemingly escalated due to the proximity of Messi’s trip following PSG’s unexpected 3-1 defeat against Lorient on Sunday.

Messi and conflicting interest with PSG

According to reports, there have been apparent difficulties between Messi and the club recently, with contract extension discussions with PSG allegedly collapsing. Furthermore, Messi faced the displeasure of their own fans, who booed him amidst the team’s inconsistent performance this season. Meanwhile, Lionel Messi has not made any comments regarding the suspension on his social media platforms.

Regarding PSG, earlier reports indicated that head coach Christophe Galtier had promised his players a couple of days off if they secured a victory against Lorient. However, following their unexpected 3-1 loss, the team resumed training on Monday and was granted a day off on Tuesday.
