Marcus Stoinis goes berserk
Earlier, Sam Curran led Punjab Kings won the toss and opted to field first. Shikhar Dhawan suffered a shoulder injury and was rested for the match. The home team showed fair control as the team scored 111 runs with a loss of 4 wickets after 15 overs. Skipper KL Rahul led from the front and scored the fifty, remaining unbeaten.
Sam Curran asked Rahul Chahar to bowl the 16th over of the innings. He started the over brilliantly by shelling just one run in first two balls. Though, he missed rhythm and bowled a full-toss on third ball, which Stoinis cleared to the long-off. He threw a short ball next but was again slammed for six towards the mid-wicket. These big hits boosted the run rate and changed the momentum.
