MI vs GT IPL 2023: The 57th match of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) at Wankhede Stadium left a lasting impact, thanks to Rashid Khan and Suryakumar Yadav's historic performances. Rashid Khan from the Gujarat Titans achieved his first-ever IPL half-century in just 21 balls, while Suryakumar Yadav made IPL history by scoring a century in the first innings. Batting first, Mumbai Indians posted an impressive total of 218 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Suryakumar Yadav played an outstanding unbeaten innings of 103 runs off 49 balls. In pursuit of the target of 219 runs, Rashid Khan fought valiantly for the Gujarat Titans until the last over. However, despite Rashid's efforts, the Titans fell short by 27 runs, unable to find support from the other end.

Rashid Khan unleashes batting prowess

In another display of his T20 cricket prowess, all-rounder Rashid Khan showcased his exceptional skills for the Gujarat Titans. Despite his impressive contribution, the team faced defeat. Rashid made a significant impact by claiming four wickets for just 30 runs in his four-over spell. Additionally, he achieved his personal best score of 79* runs off 32 balls, showcasing his batting prowess with 3 fours and an impressive 10 sixes.

Coming in to bat at number eight, Rashid Khan scored the highest score ever for a batter coming at this position. However, while batting, it appeared that he is having some hamstring injury. He didn't run much in the inning and kept on hitting big shots. His batting prowess has left many amazed since his knock included 10 maximums. He had a partnership of 88* for ninth wicket with Alzarri Joseph.
