MI vs SRH IPL 2023: Since taking over as the captain of SunRisers Hyderabad, Aiden Markram has been leading the team from the front. He managed to turn the fortunes of the team by securing two consecutive victories in their last two IPL 2023 matches. On Tuesday, April 18, Aiden Markram continued to lead by example on the field during their high-intensity IPL match against Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad. Suryakumar Yadav’s dip in form continues with this dismissal, as he once again failed to get to a good score.
Aiden Markram’s brilliance on-field
Suryakumar Yadav made his intentions clear by hitting a six in just the second ball of the Mumbai Indians innings. However, Aiden Markram seized the opportunity and took a half-chance catch. Earlier in the same over, Marco Jansen had dismissed a well-set Ishan Kishan for 38 runs off 31 balls. It was another moment of brilliance when Aiden Markram ran backwards from inside the 30-yard circle to take a catch in the deep cover region.
Although Markram made it look easy by running backwards and timing his dive to perfection, the catch was not an easy one. SunRisers managed to break a 46-run partnership between Ishan and Cameron Green.
Aiden Markram made a stunning diving catch in the same over once again to dismiss Suryakumar Yadav, who was aiming to go big in the first over. Markram was positioned at mid-off and stretched full-length to his left to catch the flying ball and send Suryakumar back. The Mumbai Indians player was tricked by a slower ball from left-arm pacer Marco Jansen in the 12th over of the match. The ball went into the vacant area between the cover and the mid-on fielder as a leading edge, but Markram quickly covered the distance and grabbed a spectacular catch.
