Murder Case: Olympic Wrestler Sushil Kumar Arrested By Delhi Police

Sushil kumar arrested: Olympic champion Sushil Kumar, who is absconding, has been arrested today after the murder of 23-year-old wrestler Sagar Rana in a fight between two groups at the Chhatrasal Stadium.

The police had placed a reward of one lakh on Sushil Kumar. Apart from Sushil, Ajay has also been arrested.Delhi Police has informed, Special Cell led by Inspector Shivkumar, Inspector Karmbir and ACP Attar Singh have arrested Sushil Kumar and Ajay from Mundka in Delhi.

Earlier, Rohini court of Delhi dismissed Sushil's anticipatory bail plea on Tuesday.But the Olympic winning wrestler continued to dodge the police like a professional criminal, according to the information, wrestler Sushil Kumar was in contact with his close friends from different numbers. Many teams of Delhi Police were looking for wrestler Sushil Kumar. But finally the Special Cell team of Delhi Police arrested him from Delhi itself.

Delhi Police had announced a reward of one lakh rupees on giving information related to the absconding Sushil Kumar. Apart from this, the police has also kept a reward of 50 thousand rupees on Ajay, who is absconding with Sushil. Police issued a lookout notice against both.

What is the matter?

It is alleged that Sushil Kumar and some other wrestlers allegedly assaulted him on the night of May 4 at the Chhatrasal Stadium complex in Delhi, in which incident wrestler Sagar Rana was killed. At the same time, Sagar's friends Sonu and Amit Kumar were injured.

Arguing on behalf of Sushil Kumar, his lawyer said that in the incident in which Sushil Kumar has been made an accused, the FIR has been filed in the case, neither there is any statement of eyewitness nor it is written who shot the person. All the bullets fired were air fire and if the bullet did not cause death, then how was the case of 302 made.
