Neeraj Chopra: The Indian star javelin thrower is the biggest athlete in India right now. He just qualified for the Diamond’s League final and won gold in the World Athetics Championships to create history.
More than the victories, his love for his nation is more admirablethan anything. He has shown us again and again that he will die for the country if asked to be. After all, he has also served in army for a decent amount of time.
His patriotism is not just for show as he takes pride in representing his country on the biggest stage and has always talked highly of India. During the Indian Sports Honours 2023 Main Event award show, he showed one such moment that fascinated the whole crowd.
Neeraj Chopra Bags Big
Neeraj Chopra won two award on that night being “Comeback Of The Year” and “Athlete Of The Year” awards. He was escatic and proud of himself for the amazing feat he has achieved and stated that he would try and win more for the country.
The crowd involved famous sports personalities and Bollywood personalities. Virat Kohli, Anushka Shamra, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Vijender Singh, Sakshi Malik, Abhishek Bacchan, Shubman Gill and many other stars attended the event.
While recieving the first award he stated that his english is not good but will try do speak in english. It was because the show also involved American track and field legend Carl Lewis and he could not understand Hindi. But the crowd was fascinated when he recieved his second award for the night.
Proud On Mother Tongue
While recieving his second award, Neeraj Chopra asked host Aparshakti Khurrana if he can speak in Hindi or rather can speak in Harayanvi. The host stated that he can speak in whichever language he wants.
Neeraj thanked the audience members in Harayanvi, his mother tongue which resulted in laughs and fascination from all over the arena.
