PAK vs BAN: “Don’t listen to criticisers” Babar Azam preaches Liton Das an important lesson | Watch Video

PAK vs BAN: In the past year or so, Liton Das has arguably been Bangladesh’s top batter in all formats. Prior to his century against India in the 2018 Asia Cup final, which somewhat turned around his career, he had been a bit inconsistent after making his debut back in 2015.

The youngster has demonstrated his talent in the middle order in addition to opening the batting well for the Tigers. The batter from Dinajpur celebrated his 28th birthday in grand style on Thursday, October 13.

Liton Das scored valuable 69 runs

At Hagley Oval in Christchurch, the right-handed batsman scored a half-century off 31 balls before going on to make 69 off 42 with six fours and two sixes. Additionally, he shared an 88-run partnership for the third wicket with his captain, Shakib Al Hasan.

After the game, Liton was observed paying close attention to Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, two of Pakistan’s top batters. Liton tried to absorb as much as he could of the priceless knowledge that Babar and Rizwan imparted to him. Watch the video here:

After his strike, Bangladesh set Pakistan a 174-run target to reach. His efforts were in vain, though, as the Tigers were down by seven wickets with one ball left in the game.

After the game, Liton was observed paying close attention to Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, two of Pakistan’s top batters. Liton tried to absorb as much as he could of the priceless knowledge that Babar and Rizwan imparted to him.

Babar and Rizwan were crucial to Pakistan’s success. The pair put Pakistan in a commanding position with an opening wicket stand of 101. Rizwan scored 69 runs off 56 balls, including four fours, to win Player of the Match. Babar also scored 55 runs, making him the 11th Pakistani player to reach the milestone of 11,000 runs played internationally.
