RCB vs PBKS IPL 2023: Mohammed Siraj's wicket-taking abilities in powerplay have given RCB a new addition to their campaign. In today's clash against Punjab Kings at Mohali, he once again dismissed two batters through LBW in a similar style. Surprisingly, for both wickets, the umpire had given not-out but he had to change his decision later as RCB took review both the times.
Virat Kohli is captaining RCB today as Faf came to bat as an impact player only, as he suffering from injury. The visitors, RCB, managed to post 174/4 in 20 overs after striking fifties from both openers. Faf scored 84 in 56 balls while Virat scored 59 in 47 balls. In response, the inexperienced PBKS' batting lineup didn't live up to the expectations.
Siraj came to bowl the first over of the innings. Opener Atharva had a brilliant start as he slammed the boundary on the first ball. However, the next ball, which came and swung in line, left the batter confused as he was LBW. Umpire did not adjourn him out and RCB then moved ahead with the review, which later confirmed that he was indeed out. Virat let out a huge roar after the dismissal.
Siraj. then, came to bowl the fourth over. He struck yet again on the second ball in a similar style and this time he had dismissed star batter, Liam Livingstone. As of writing this, the home team has lost four wickets at score of 43 runs in 5.3 overs.
