RCB vs RR IPL 2023: The highly anticipated match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals is currently underway at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Virat Kohli was dismissed on the first ball of the match itself and RCB was left reeling. However, Maxwell and Faf Du Plessis took on from there and they have turned the match into run-feast. One such video from the innings is now going viral on social media in which Maxi can be seen hitting a reverse sweep maximum.
Rajasthan Royals opted to field first in the clash after winning the toss. They had a dream start in the match as Virat was dismissed by Trent Boult through LBW on the first ball itself. Shahbaz Ahmed was also dismissed on the third over. However, Maxi and Faf Du Plessis took on the charge and continued to smash the ball around the park. As of writing this, RCB had scored 135/2 in 13 overs.
In just 6 overs, the home team had scored 62 runs while losing two wickets. Yuzvendra Chahal, the former breakthrough player for RCB, had come to bowl the next over then. The first three balls gave just 4 runs, however, what happened on the fourth ball left everyone jumping on their feet. Chahal bowled a good-length ball, Maxwell sat on his knees and sailed the ball to deep backward point through a iconic reverse sweep. The video of the hit is now going viral on social media. Maxwell slammed his fifty off 26 balls later and also 1,000 runs for RCB.
