RCB vs RR IPL 2023: In the 60th match of IPL 2023, Royal Challengers Bangalore showed complete domination as they beat Rajasthan Royals by a margin of 112 runs at the latter's home ground Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. RCB won the toss and chose to bat first, and managed to post 171/5 in 20 overs after some batting heroics. In response, Rajasthan Royals flattered completely and did not look in touch at all as they could muster just 59 runs in 10.3 overs. This is the third-lowest score ever in the history of the tournament. The second lowest also belongs to Rajasthan which came against RCB itself back in the year 2009.

RCB bowlers crush RR batters completely
Coming in a chase of 173, RR had the worst possible start as they lost star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal on the second ball of the inning for a duck. Jos Buttler followed him in just the next over on the same two-ball duck. Skipper Sanju was dismissed in the same over for a score of 4 in 5 balls. Shimron Hetmyer was the highest scorer and only batter who looked in rhythm as he scored 35 runs off 19 balls, hitting 1 boundary and four maximums. Rajasthan Royals scored 28/5 in the powerplay. Joe Root scored 10 off 15 balls. None of the batter looked in touch as five players returned to the pavilion for zero. Parnell (3/10), Bracewell (2/16), Karn Sharma (2/19), and Mohammed Siraj (1/10) led the bowling charge.

Faf & Maxwell lead the batting charge
Earlier, Faf Du Plessis won the toss and chose to bat first in the must-win match. They had a slow start in the match, scoring 42 runs in the powerplay (without any wickets). Star Batter Virat Kohli could not do much significant as he was dismissed for a score of 18 runs in 19 balls. Skipper Plessis once again led the batting charge and slammed his 7th fifty this season, scoring 55 off 44, hitting 3 boundaries and two maximums.
Glenn Maxwell accompanied him well with another crucial knock, scoring 54 off 33 balls, hitting 5 boundaries and 3 maximums. Lomror scored 1 while Dinesh Karthik was dismissed for a two-ball duck. Anuj Rawat played a blistering cameo of 29* runs in 11 balls, hitting 3 boundaries and two sixes. Adam Zampa led the bowling unit of RR taking 2 wickets while giving away just 25 runs. Asif also picked a couple of wickets while Sandeep Sharma grabbed a wicket each as well.
