RR vs PBKS IPL 2023: The highly anticipated clash between Rajasthan Royals and Punjab Kings is currently underway at Baraspara Stadium, Guwahati, which is hosting its first-ever IPL match. During the 7th over of the IPL match at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium, R Ashwin paused his run-up and looked back to check on Shikhar Dhawan, who is presently the captain of the Punjab Kings. It appeared as if he was warning for mankad, then suddenly the camera panned to Jos Buttler, leaving everyone in splits.

Earlier, Sanju Samson won the toss and decided to field first in the game. However, the decision did not go in their favour as PBKS raced to 140 in just 14 overs while losing just one wicket. However, a hilarious moment cracked up in the seventh over, which was being bowled by R Ashwin, that made everyone laugh.
Actually, while going to bowl, Ashwin stopped in the mid-delivery and did not throw the ball. At the moment, Shikhar Dhawan was standing at the non-striker end, he quickly went back to the line in fear of getting dismissed by Mankad. Although Ashwin did nothing, the cameraman instantly panned the camera on Buttler’s face even before showing the replay of ball. The commentators burst into laughter as Buttler appeared on the big screen.
R Ashwin has publicly expressed that its good to run out non-strikers who leave the crease before the ball is delivered. In IPL 2019, he caused controversy by running out Jos Buttler, who was not his teammate at the time, at the non-striker’s end. The incident gained popularity when the cameraman captured it, and Buttler was dismissed for leaving the crease early. Ashwin was the captain of the Punjab Kings at that time.
