India batter Shreyas Iyer and fast bowler Mohammed Siraj have been included in the ICC Men’s ODI Team of the Year 2022. Pakistan skipper Babar Azam has been named as the captain of the side.
The other members of the team are – Travis Head (Australia), Shai Hope (West Indies), Tom Latham (New Zealand), Sikandar Raza (Zimbabwe), Mehidy Hasan Miraz (Bangladesh), Alzarri Joseph (West Indies), Trent Boult (New Zealand), Adam Zampa (Australia).
Fantastic Iyer
Iyer came out as India’s one of the most consistent in the the 50-over format while batting in the middle order. Batting at Number 4, Iyer played 17 games in 2022 and scired 724 runs at an average of 55.69.
Siraj’s brilliance
While Mohammed Siraj’s emergence in white-ball cricket, was the in the talks during 2022. With Jasprit Bumrah often missing due to injury, Siraj emerged as the most potent weapon of the India pace unit.
