Washington Sundar rakes in three wickets

The visitor side, Delhi Capitals, won the toss and chose to bat first in the game. However, their batting woes continued in today’s game as well. They lost opener Philip Salt for a duck while Mitchell Marsh was also dismissed soon with a score of 25 runs in 15 balls. By seven overs, DC posted a score of 57 runs while losing two wickets. Skipper Aiden then called in wicketless Washington for breakthrough.

After a dot on the first ball, he bowled a good length ball to skipper Warner, who just couldn’t connect it well and was caught out by Harry Brook on deep backward square leg. Manish Pandey then came to the crease and scored 1 run while passing on the strike rate to Sarfaraz Khan. He once again threw a tossed up delivery and the batter top-edged it, and was caught out by Bhuvneshwar Kumar at the same position i.e. deep backward square leg. Finally, Aman Hakim Khan came to the crease and slammed a boundary on the first ball.

He looked in great touch and was caught out by Abhishek Sharma down the track. This video of Washington’s epic over is now making waves on social media.
