Sub-jr Men’s Hockey Nationals: Major victories for Jharkhand, M.P. & U.P. on Day 3

Sub-jr Men’s Hockey Nationals: On Day 3 of the 13th Hockey India Sub-junior Men’s National Championship 2023, which took place on Saturday at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium, Hockey Madhya Pradesh, Hockey Uttar Pradesh, Hockey Jharkhand, and Hockey Dadra & Nagar Haveli And Daman & Diu all earned significant victories.

From the first match

Hockey Madhya Pradesh defeated Telangana Hockey 19-0 in the Pool G matchup as the day’s opening match. To assist Hockey Madhya Pradesh prevail, hat-tricks were scored by Karan Gautam (4′, 7′, 26′), Tushar Parmar (9′, 30′, 25′), Ritendra Pratap Singh (11′, 12′, 29′), and Subhan Abid (23′, 46′, 57′). In addition to Sohil Ali’s (2′, 16′) and Aashir Aadil Khan’s (36′, 37′) two-goal performances, Hockey Madhya Pradesh also had goals from Siddharth Ben (34′), Sami Rizwan (48′), and Avtar Nayak (53′).

In the day’s second game, Uttar Pradesh Hockey defeated Kerala Hockey 35-0 in a Pool A contest. Ujjwal Pal (14′, 20′, 21′, 38′, 43′, 49′) and Satyam Pandey (2′, 5′, 9′, 16′, 49′, 56′) each scored six goals, and Ketan Kushwaha (33′, 3′, 5′, 51′, 51′) added five for Uttar Pradesh Hockey. Rahul Yadav (25′, 53′) and Captain Ajeet Yadav (37′, 60′) each scored a brace in the game, while Arun Pal (15′, 28′, 30′), Vishal Pandey (3′, 45′, 59′), and Rahul Rajbhar (46′, 50′, 59′) each scored hat-tricks. Ajay Kumar Yadav (30′), Ajay Kumar Yadav (27′), Ashu Maurya (19′), and Ajay Kumar Gond (10′) and Triloki Venvanshi (46′) scored a goal each as well to help Uttar Pradesh Hockey get the win, Hockey India informed in a release on Saturday.

Third game of the day

Hockey Jharkhand defeated Hockey Himachal 18-0 in a Pool B matchup in the third game of the day. To help Hockey Jharkhand win 18-0, Jolen Topno (4′, 18′, 25′), Nicolas Topno (20′, 31′, 35′), Devit Barla (30′, 44′, 59′), Rohit Pradhan (6′, 29′), Ankit Ekka (37′, 43′), and Faguwa Horo (48′, 54′) all scored hat-tricks. In the game, Jems Nag (8′), Asim Ekka (24′), and Ghuran Lohra each netted one goal for Hockey Jharkhand.

Sub-jr Men’s Hockey Nationals: From the fourth match

Dadra & Nagar Haveli And Daman & Diu Hockey defeated Puducherry Hockey 23-0 in the day’s fourth match. Shubham Rajbhar and Srijan Yadav each scored six goals to assist Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu Hockey win the game (1′, 10′, 17′, 45′, 51′, 53) and respectively. In addition to Mithlesh Singh (6′), the captain of Dadra & Nagar Haveli And Daman & Diu Hockey, Ravindra Pratap Yadav (1′, 8′), Ritesh Pandey (22′, 54′), Tahir Faraz (29′, 60′), Sujeet Rajb’ar (39′, 58′), and Golu Yadav (49′, 55′) all scored a pair of goals in the game.

Sub-jr Men’s Hockey Nationals: Hockey Arunachal vs Hockey Gujarat

Hockey Arunachal defeated Hockey Gujarat 13-0 in the fourth game of the tournament’s Day 2 earlier on Friday. Five goals were scored by Jameer Xaxa in the game (4′, 22′, 25′, 37′, 52′), while four goals were scored by Moohamed Jaeed for Hockey Arunachal (2′, 20′, 28′, 57′). A hat-trick by Shatish Kumar Thakur (35′, 48′, 55′), along with a goal from captain Tai Tadh, helped his team to a convincing victory.
