Suryakumar Yadav: After playing a magnificent knock of 68 against South Africa in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2022, Suryakumar Yadav has quickly risen to the top of the ICC T20I rankings. In India’s second game of the tournament against the Netherlands, he had also scored a half-century.
Suryakumar Yadav, who is perhaps the best T20 batsman in the world right now, is currently ranked first among batters in the ICC T20I rankings, which were announced on Wednesday. During the current T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia, Surya has been one of the most effective batters.
Surya has amassed scores of 15, 51*, and 68 over the first three games of the competition. He is currently just the second Indian and the 23rd player overall to hold the top spot in the ICC T20I batter rankings. Only Virat Kohli has held the position earlier.
“Yadav’s 51 not out off 25 balls against the Netherlands in Sydney and a valiant 68 off 40 against South Africa in Perth have helped him overtake New Zealand’s Devon Conway and Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan, who had held the top spot since 4 September this year,” ICC said in a release.
