Aayan Afzal Khan, who was batting at position nine, was caught off a Fred Klassen delivery after only managing to score 5 runs in 7 balls. The UAE bowlers responded with a strong fight. Vikramjit Singh, the opener, was dismissed by them in the second over with just 14 runs on the board. In actuality, the UAE bowlers controlled the run flow while the Netherlands bowlers consistently lost wickets.
