Papa New Guinea has qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024. Meanwhile ESPNcricinfo has revealed the dates and venues for the tournament.

T20 World Cup 2024: Papua New Guinea continued their dominant run in the East Asia Pacific Qualifiers and defeated Phillippines. And with this victory, they have successfully qualified for the T20 World Cup scheduled for next year.

The 2024 T20 World Cup will see 20 teams participating in the competition rather than the usual 15. There will also be a change in format as compared to the previous iteration of the tournament.

On the other hand, various reports have come out that have reportedly confirmed the dates for the upcoming T20 World Cup. It has also confirmed the location of the tournament and has predicted some venues.

Papa New Guinea Doninant Run

This was PNG’s fifth win in the five matches. They have maintained their perfect record and qualified for the World Cup with one match in hand. They also boast an amazing net run rate of close to 5.

Japan is the second-best team in the tournament with 3 wins and 6 points. PNG and Japan will play their final matches against each other on July 29. If Guinea wins, it will be a statement to every team in the tournament.

T20 World Cup Dates Revealed

A new report from ESPNcricinfo has suggested that the 2024 World Cup will take place between June 4 to June 30 across 10 venues in the Caribbean and the USA. It will be hectic for the players but will also help cricket reach new countries.

Florida, Dallas, Morrisville, and New York will host the World Cup in the USA. New York’s ‘Van Cortlandt Park’ is yet to be given an international status. So, ICC will take a final call on the venues very soon after seeing the preparation.
