Pakistan's legendary pacer Shoaib Akhtar is trending all over social media, and the reason behind it is his latest remarks on former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag. A recent Myntra advertisement featuring Virender Sehwag alongside Mandira Bedi and Sahiba Bali has gone viral, catching the attention of cricket fans. In the video, Sehwag recalls his famous 300-run knock, leading to a sarcastic response from Shoaib Akhtar, which has now ignited a heated discussion online.

In the Myntra ad, Virender Sehwag can be heard saying, "When I scored a triple century in Multan, I lifted my foot at 295 to hit a six." Reacting to this, Shoaib Akhtar posted a video on his Instagram handle, playfully mocking Sehwag for repeatedly bringing up his 300-run achievement.

In the video, Shoaib Akhtar said, "I saw a video of Viru Paaji. Man, I'm fed up of hearing him talk. It's the same tape playing for the last 20 years—300, 300, 300! Come on, brother, I was there too when you scored that 300. You played really well, no doubt. But it's the month of fasting, and one has to control their tongue—so please, stop now.

"If you want an entry in the Guinness World Records, I can get that done: 'The person who says 300 the most in the world—Virender Sehwag!'," Akhtar added with a laugh.

The former speedster didn’t stop there, concluding his video with another cheeky remark, "If you really want an entry, talk to me. Because I have a real record—you know which one, right?"

Fans React - 'Jali Na, Jali Na?'

As soon as Shoaib Akhtar's comments surfaced, social media erupted with reactions. Fans flooded the comment section, taking sides in the friendly banter between the two cricketing legends.

One user wrote, “Bhai tum to apni fast ball ko leke rote rahte ho.” Another commented, “Well Planned By You & Viru Just for marketing, smart move.” A third user added, “Ab Viru Paaji ka mast wala reply ayega. Be ready.” A fourth demanded, “Ek Viru Vs. Shoaib face-off toh hum bhi deserve karte hai!” Meanwhile, another user referenced Salman Khan’s famous dialogue, “Jali na jali na sahi bata jali na.”

Virender Sehwag’s Iconic 300-Run Knock

For those unfamiliar with the reference, Virender Sehwag became the first Indian to score a triple century (309 runs off 375 balls) in Test cricket during India’s tour of Pakistan in 2004. His innings at Multan included 39 fours and 6 sixes, securing his place in cricketing history as the "Sultan of Multan."

The banter between Shoaib Akhtar and Virender Sehwag is nothing new. The two former cricketers have often engaged in light-hearted exchanges, reflecting their on-field rivalry and mutual respect.
