In a heart-rending incident from Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, rising national baseball star Sanjana Barkhade tragically took her own life, leaving the sports fraternity shocked. The ensuing investigation led to the arrest of Abdul Mansoori, accused of posing a severe online threat to a Female Baseball player.
Mansoori allegedly posted a distressing video of Barkhade on Instagram, leading her to severe emotional turmoil and ultimately, suicide. The two acquaintances had established a connection on social media, and Mansoori had even visited Jabalpur to meet Barkhade.
A Deceptive Facade of Identity – Allegations of Forced Conversion
Barkhade’s family has made chilling allegations against Mansoori, claiming he used a Hindu alias, Rajan, to gain her trust. It has been suggested that he manipulated Barkhade and attempted to forcefully convert her religion.
Barkhade’s father recounted the horrific circumstances, stating, “My daughter was tortured. He made unbearable threats that pushed her to end her life. I suspect he pressurised her to change her religion. She must have faced a terrible ultimatum: accept Islam or face death. All I seek now is absolute justice for my beloved daughter.”

Mansoori, who earns his livelihood through miscellaneous jobs, was detained in Rewa. Police are diligently examining the provocative video alleged to have led Barkhade towards her unfortunate fate. Barkhade, who had shown her prowess in national games across Rajasthan, Gujarat, Ujjain and Dewas, will be mourned not only for the abrupt end of her promising career but also for the tragic circumstances surrounding her death. As the Home Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Narottam Mishra affirmed, the accused has been apprehended, and the government is committed to uncovering the truth.
