Valentine’s Day 2023: With Valentine’s Day fever taking over the world, the Big Bash League (BBL) has decided to celebrate the momentous day in a unique way by sharing a special picture. The premier Australian T20 league recently posted a photo on social media showing Melbourne Stars players Marcus Stoinis and Adam Zampa kissing.

The duo has had a long-standing friendship and a close bond that cricket fans worldwide have come to appreciate. As such, to commemorate the day symbolizing love and adoration, the BBL found the perfect snapshot of Stoinis and Zampa to share with fans.
Stoinis talked about his relationship with Adam Zampa during an Australia vs. Pakistan bilateral series a few years ago. He stated that they shared an incredible bond and enjoyed each other’s company. He also noted that their antics were purely for fun, and friendships like these create a great atmosphere within the team.

Despite their best efforts, the Zampa-Stoinis pair couldn’t help their BBL team, the Melbourne Stars, in the 2022-23 season. The Melbourne-based franchise had a disappointing tournament and finished at the bottom of the table with a record of three wins and 11 losses. Under Adam Zampa’s captaincy, they failed to find any consistency as they continued their BBL slump.
While the 30-year-old leg-spinner had a decent performance with 16 wickets in 14 games, averaging 25.00 and an economy of 7.14, Marcus Stoinis had a terrible season. He suffered a hamstring injury that allowed him to play in only nine games, scoring 190 runs and picking up just two wickets.
