Obviously, these also involve Royal Challengers Bangalore, one of the most exciting teams in the tournament. However, in one such match, when everyone believed that RCB is gonna triumph, Andre took away the match within a few balls. In the last 13 balls of the innings, he smashed 48 runs.
Andre Russell’s havoc against RCB
On April 5, 2019, the Virat Kohli-led Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) side competed against the Kolkata Knight Riders in a crucial game (KKR). RCB scored a whopping 205-3 in their 20 overs after winning the toss, mostly due to Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, and Marcus Stoinis’ stunning display of batting skills. When asked to bat in response, KKR struggled and fell to 139-4 in 15.4 overs.
With KKR still needing 67 runs from just 26 balls, the dynamic West Indian all-rounder Andre Russell stepped out to bat. Russell only scored one run off of his first four deliveries before unleashing a furious assault of six-hitting heroics at the RCB bowlers. The right-hander led KKR to an easy 5-wicket victory over the home team RCB with a blistering 48* from only 13 balls.

The match is etched in the heart of every KKR fan as nobody could have expected the victory when Andre entered the field, though. This remains as one of the most special knocks ever played in the history of tournament.
