Viral IPL Video: Catches are one of the most important part of cricket matches. In a spectacular display of fielding during the 8th season of the IPL, Rajasthan Royal’s Tim Southee and Karun Nair made a stunning catch-of-the-year contender in a match against the Kings XI Punjab. The batsman, George Bailey, had hit a high shot towards the long-on boundary that seemed destined for a six, but what followed left everyone in awe.

Tim Southee and Karun Nair’s catch

Although the amazing catch didn’t impact the outcome of the game, it was a crucial moment for KXIP. With seven wickets down and chasing 163, KXIP were on 131 runs when George Bailey attempted to clear the boundary with a shot over deep midwicket. However, Tim Southee stopped the ball from crossing the boundary with an incredible diving effort, effectively ending KXIP’s chances of victory.

After James Faulkner delivered a slower ball, Bailey attempted to hit it with power but he failed to connect properly. The ball was headed towards the boundary, but Tim Southee made a remarkable diving effort and passed it on to Karun Nair, who was able to complete the catch with another diving effort.
