Kohli talks about bond with Dhoni
According to Kohli, Dhoni was the only person who spoke to him in 2022 when he was struggling with bad form and runs were not coming. Kohli feels blessed to have such a pure bond with Dhoni, and he revealed that Dhoni messaged him during that time. Kohli’s wife Anushka has also been his biggest strength during this whole phase. Kohli admitted that it is tough to approach Dhoni, as he rarely picks up the phone. However, from the beginning of his career, Kohli has always received support from Dhoni. Kohli made his debut in all formats under Dhoni and later took over the captaincy of all formats from the legendary cricketer.
Kohli’s career and achievements under Dhoni’s mentorship
Kohli’s career has been impressive, having played 106 Tests, 271 ODIs and 115 T20 matches for India over 15 years. He recently became the fastest player to score 25000 international runs in just 549 innings, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar.
