Virat Kohli to open restaurant in Mumbai at Kishor Kumar’s place

Star India better Virat Kohli has purchased a portion of ‘Gouri Kunj’, a bungalow owned by the family of late actor-singer Kishore Kumar in Mumbai’s Juhu, for his next restaurant. The former Team India captain owns a chain, ‘One8 Commune’ — named after his jersey number ’18’ — and its Instagram bio now says “Juhu, Mumbai #ComingSoon”.

The news has been confirmed by Kishore Kumar’s son Amit Kumar. Speaking with ETimes, Kumar said, “We have leased out the space to Virat for 5 years.” The report added that the conversations to lease out the space began a few months ago when Leena Chandavarkar’s son Sumeet met Virat.

On Wednesday, India beat Hong Kong by 40 runs in their second match of the tournament. Kohli returned to form with his unbeaten knock of 59 runs.

But it was a day to remember for middle-order batter Suryakumar Yadav who had totally changed the game after coming in to bat in the 13th over of Indian batting.
