Virat Kohli: A heated altercation unfolded on the field as batting sensation Virat Kohli clashed with former Indian opening batter Gautam Gambhir during the IPL 2023 match in Lucknow on May 1, featuring the Lucknow Super Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore. Following the match, Kohli and Gambhir, who serves as the mentor of LSG, were observed engaged in a heated verbal exchange. Amidst all the debates, a fresh report has stated that Virat Kohli has written to BCCI after the incident and clarified his stance.

Numerous videos and images capturing the intense on-field confrontation quickly spread across the internet, generating substantial discussions and opinions from those involved and external observers alike. The unsightly clash between the two iconic Indian cricketers left a bitter taste, leading to both players being fined their entire match fees.

Since the incident, there has been extensive coverage and discussion surrounding the event. In a recent report, the former captain of RCB has penned a message to select BCCI officials, providing his perspective on the matter. According to the report, Kohli expressed his disappointment to the officials upon receiving the 100% match fee fine. Kohli has stated that he did not utter any words towards Naveen-ul-Haq or Gambhir during the clash that would warrant such disciplinary action from the BCCI.

Kohli displayed aggressive behavior in his celebration during the LSG-RCB match. A heated argument ensued between Kohli and Naveen both during and after the match, reportedly initiated by Mohammed Siraj’s bouncers and throws directed towards Naveen. The Afghan pacer became increasingly frustrated by the continuous throw of bouncers allegedly instructed by Kohli. However, in his message, Kohli refuted these claims, stating that he did not instruct Siraj to specifically target Naveen but rather advised him to bowl bouncers.

Following the match, during the customary handshake, Virat and Naveen engaged in a heated exchange, prompting Kohli to allegedly express his dissatisfaction with the pacer’s aggressive conduct.
