Yamaha RD350

Of all the motorcycles introduced in India, the Yamaha RD350 is one of the most recognisable. Even though the RD350 was stopped being produced decades ago, it nevertheless has a cult following.

According to reports citing trademark applications in Japan, the RZ350 and RZ250 names may one day be used again. This event naturally raises the possibility that the Yamaha RD350 brand may also return, particularly in India. The RD350 is still regarded as a cult classic in the history of Indian two-wheelers.

What to expect?

The RD350 will probably have a four-stroke engine when it is resurrected. Also added will be the equipment list. For instance, the bike might have a Bluetooth connection, dual-channel ABS, an LED headlight with DRL, a digital instrument dashboard, traction control with an assist, and a slipper clutch.

The 347cc air-cooled engine in the original Yamaha RD350 produced a maximum power of 39 horsepower. A 6-speed gearbox was connected to it. The pulsing performance of the two-stroke parallel twin motor made it very well known.
