What could be Indian squad for WT20I?

Less than 8 months are remaining for the mega T20I World Cup and still Indian team is in a hunt for their best 11. At some point they got their best 11 but confused on fielding them and not letting the second chances to have experiences.

Indian team roped in Ishaan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav in their lineup for the England series. Vice-captain Rohit Sharma was out of the first two game just to find a way for the third opener in ticket to World Cup.

Shikhar Dhawan has been completely failed in the recent past in the shortest format of the game and meantime KL Rahul who is at Rank 2 in the ICC T20I batsmen rankings has emerged as the first choice opener for the team. He has been the consistent man for team India in the shortest format since his debut in 2016.

Apart from KL Rahul only Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli have delivered for the team on regular basis. Indian team roped in Shreyas Iyer and Rishabh Pant into the middle order post 2019 World Cup and the duo at Number 4 and 5 had performed for the national team whenever required but the question is always about the consistency.

Virat and company also gave chances ro Shivam Dube in the absence of Hardik Pandya at Number 6 and he had performed for the team when required. Dube was the man for the Indian team with both bat and ball in their Australian tour. He is also one of the big hitters in the Indian domestic over circuit. But now he’s out of the playing 11 contention after the return of Hardik Pandya.

If we go with the best lineup looking onto the performance then Rohit-Rahul pair should be at the top with Kishan an option of 3rd opener. Kohli, Pant, Iyer at Number 3, 4 and 5. Then comes the all-round department which can be fulfilled with both Hardik and Dube in the squad at No. 6 and 7 depending on the left hand right combination.

Taking about the bowling now in the last few years Washington Sundar has been there a man for captain Virat Kohli who can get wickets in the middle and also stop runs in the powerplay, him along with Yuzvendra Chahal can make a perfect class in spinning option for team India.

The fast bowling department can go with Bumrah, Bhuvi leading the pack but still the team needs two more choices for the spot. One can be filled with T Natarajan who can be an x-factor with his left hand pace option. All of these selection will further depend on the performance in the upcoming season of Indian Premier League as well.
