‘Where am I’: Washinton Sundar forgets in which country he was after India lose to New Zealand

India might have lost the ODI series vs New Zealand but few performances that came during the series will send an alarming bell to the selectors and the core team sitting outside. One of those performers was Washington Sundar, who has emerged as India’s dependent man with the bat at No.7. Sundar’s quickfire knock helped India to cross the 300-mark in the first ODI while his maiden ODI fifty guided ‘Men In Blue’ to a respectable score in the last game.

In a viral video, Sundar encountered a brain fade moment after the final abandoned due to rain.

In a question by Murali Karthik, Sundar lost track of which country he was.

“Definitely, playing for Lancashire in Manchester was very cold. Very similar… very similar to (looks behind puzzled … Where are we?” he said before Kartik informed him ‘We are in Christchurch’.

The all-rounder then continued and said “Yes, it helped me prepare for such cold conditions today”.

Will Sundar retain his spot?

Washington Sundar who surprised everyone with his top-class form in ODIs and Tests has been overlooked every time when the main team comes into focus.

Team India will next face Bangladesh in the three-match ODI series starting Sunday. Sundar might ride on New Zealand’s success to surpass Axar Patel and Shahbaz Ahmed.
