World Cup 2023: Jay Shah Reveals Major Details About Ticket Booking; Read All The Details Here

World Cup 2023: With just 2 months left to the biggest festival of cricket, fans are dreading for the tickets to be released. Fans have been desperately waiting for the tickets to come out and it looks like the wait will finally end.

BCCI director Jay Shah has already revealed that there will be no E-tickets for ICC World Cup 2023. And now, he has also revealed when the tickets will be available for the fans to purchase.

It will be the first time during a major event that tickets have not been available so close to the tournament. As in the 2019 World Cup, the tickets were sold out a year prior to the event, meanwhile, the last T20 World Cup saw tickets being sold 9 months prior.

World Cup 2023: Tickets Out Soon

According to Jay Shah, tickets will only be out once all the formalities are done. He wants to make sure that the procedure has been followed. Only then the sale of tickets will take place.

The BCCI director has also urged state organizations to communicate their finalized prices by July 21. After that, the Indian cricket board will take action. Bookmyshow and Paytm have been decided as the official ticket partner for the event.

Even though the tickets can be booked online, there will be no E-Tickets. The fans have to collect the physical tickets from the center nearby the stadium.

Special Actions By BCCI

And as always BCCI and ICC will receive 300 complimentary tickets for each game by the state board. The central board has also advised the state boards to provide more tickets in case of emergency.

BCCI is trying to maintain hygiene and for that, they have partnered up with Coca-Cola to provide free drinking water to the fans in the stadium. They have also allowed extra trash cans in each stadium to maintain hygiene.
