The Giants selected a 31-year-old player for 60 lakh rupees, but now she's made some surprising statements on social media. Dottin has spoken out against the Gujarat Giants, accusing them of leaving her out of the tournament. She has shared a detailed account of what happened.
In her statement, she noted "I would like to make it clear that I had experienced minor abdominal pain and swelling for which I had sought treatment in December 2022. I was transparent about this in correspondence with Gujarat Giants' physiotherapist."

Gujarat Giants' performance in WPL 2023
Dottin's statement included a clarification that she had received medical clearance before the tournament began. However, the franchise insisted on further assessment. It's worth mentioning that Kim Garth took Dottin's place in the Gujarat Giants squad at the beginning of the season. Additionally, the team suffered another setback when their captain, Beth Mooney, sustained an injury in the first match of the tournament. As of now, the team is placed at the bottom of the points table.
