WPL 2023: New Controversy ! Gujarat Giants rules out Windies player Dottin due to injury, player denies any such claim

WPL 2023: A new controversy has erupted in the Women's Premier League well before the start of the tournament. Deandra Dottin, the West Indies cricket sensation recently acquired by Gujarat Giants, was ruled out from the season due to an injury. However, she has now posted on social media that she is completely fine.

WPL begins with controversy

The first match of the tournament is between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians. However, earlier in a statement, GG stated that the player is suffering from a medical situation and a replacement is bein called. However, refuting all the rumours Dottin posted an Instagram story saying "Get Well soon from what?"

She later also made a tweet saying that she is completely fine. She earlier posted Instagram story while sharing a report that mentioned about her being unwell and getting out from the tournament due to some injury. Australian player Kim Garth was subsequently named as the replacement for her. However, it is worth noting that Kim went unsold in the auction last month.

What did Dottin say?

On March 4, Giants will compete in the Women's Premier League's inaugural game against the Mumbai Indians. Beth Mooney, who won the player of the match prize in the T20 World Cup final last month after batting an undefeated 74 off 53, will lead the team.
