‘AAP has zero-tolerance policy,’ says mayor Shelly Oberoi as she directs action against ‘corruption’ charges

Mayor Shelly Oberoi has directed municipal officials to submit a report regarding alleged incidents of corruption by a doctor and staff of Swami Dayanand Hospital. She has asked for strict actions against the said staff and doctor if the allegations are found to be true. She added that the decision has been taken after complaints of corruption from the localities. 

‘AAP has a zero-tolerance policy 

In a statement issued by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, the mayor said that a detailed report has been sought on the matter. If the allegations are found to be correct, strict actions will be taken against the accused.

“A doctor working at Swami Dayanand Hospital was accused of corruption by the people of Dilshad Garden. It is to be noted that in regard to this, the nursing students of the hostel also held a protest on March 24 and submitted a written complaint to the hospital administration,” the statement read. 

“A detailed report has been sought. Directions have also been given to take action against the doctor and staff involved. AAP has a zero-tolerance policy,” it added.

Shelly Oberoi seeks report on dispensaries

Meanwhile, just a few days ago, the Delhi mayor had directed officials to submit a report on the status of dispensaries and maternity centers. During her inspection of Bhati Mines and adjoining areas, she raised concerns about waterlogging and the dilapidated condition of the MCD school buildings. 

“The Bhati Mines region has been neglected for far too long, and we are committed to ensuring that its residents receive the services and amenities they deserve,” said Oberoi.
