Ajaz Khan: In the Maharashtra Assembly Election 2024, Ajaz Khan, a household name thanks to his stint on Bigg Boss, faced a startling defeat that left many in disbelief. Contesting from the Versova constituency under Chandrashekhar Azad's Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram), Ajaz managed to secure a mere 155 votes. To add salt to the wound, the NOTA (None of the Above) option significantly outperformed him, garnering 1,298 votes.
Unsurprisingly, the internet was quick to react, and trolling began almost immediately after the results were announced. Ajaz Khan, known for his fiery personality, took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the situation, and his response only fueled the chatter.
'Public Lost to Money,' Says Ajaz Khan on X
Ajaz Khan didn’t hold back while expressing his disappointment on social media. In a sharply worded post, he wrote: "Jai Ho 3400 Crore Ki... Janta Paison Ke Samne Haar Gayi. Maharashtra"
The cryptic remark implied that money power played a role in his loss, suggesting that voters prioritized monetary influences over genuine candidates. However, his statement became the subject of even more trolling.
One user mocked, "Puncture lagao ab," while another added, "Jitne vote mile hai itne me to social media se Gayab ho jana chahiye tha par hadd h besharmi ki." Yet another quipped, "NOTA ne tujhe hazar vote se hara diya!" Some comments even poked fun at Ajaz's claim about ₹3,400 crore, stating, "Bhai, aapko 340 vote bhi nahi mile aur 3400 crore ki baat karte ho!"
Ajaz Khan’s Popularity Fails to Translate Into Votes
Ajaz Khan, with a massive 5.6 million followers on Instagram, is no stranger to the limelight. However, this defeat highlighted a stark reality: social media fame doesn’t always equate to political success. Despite his celebrity status and active campaigning, Ajaz failed to connect with the electorate effectively.
This isn’t the first time Ajaz’s bold statements and confrontational style have drawn attention. While he enjoys a good online following, his inability to garner significant support at the ballot box showcases the challenge of converting virtual clout into real-world votes.
CarryMinati Incident Resurfaces
Amid the election drama, Ajaz Khan’s infamous encounter with YouTuber CarryMinati has resurfaced online. The incident dates back to when Ajaz demanded a public apology from Carry for roasting him during Bigg Boss Season 7.
A viral video from the past shows Ajaz spotting Carry in public, where Carry appeared nervous, wearing a cap and mask to avoid recognition. Ajaz, however, removed the disguise and addressed him directly, saying, "This is Carry. He roasted me. Now, apologize to my fans."
Carry quickly obliged, apologizing by saying, "Sir, please, if I offended you, I'm sorry." Ajaz, in his signature style, added, "Not every hole has a rat; some have snakes."
