In a major push to affordable rail travel, the Ministry of Railways is all set to launch 50 Amrit Bharat Express trains in the fiscal year 2025–26, with one of them connecting Patna to Sabarmati — one of the busiest and most vital rail corridors in the country.
Specifically designed for the middle class and Antyodaya passengers, the Patna–Sabarmati Amrit Bharat Express is poised to offer a budget-friendly yet high-quality travel experience. With enhanced facilities and a modern look, these non-AC trains aim to bridge the gap between affordability and comfort.
The Patna to Sabarmati Amrit Bharat Express will cover an estimated 1765 kilometers in around 27 hours. It is expected to operate via the crucial Kanpur Central corridor — ensuring better connectivity for passengers across North and West India.
The train will make halts at several major stations en route, including:
Danapur
Ara
Buxar
DD Upadhyaya Junction
Vindhyachal
Prayagraj

The rollout of the Amrit Bharat Express is part of Indian Railways' larger vision to modernize rail travel while keeping it inclusive and accessible. These trains will focus on speed, punctuality, safety, and hygiene, making them a game-changer for lower- and middle-income travelers.
With its promising features and critical route, the Patna–Sabarmati Amrit Bharat Express is not just another train – it’s a new chapter in India’s journey toward a more equitable transport future.
