Andhra Train Fire: Fatal Blaze Erupts in Tata Nagar–Ernakulam Express, One Killed, Check Latest Update

In Anakapalli, India, ten people died, and dozens were injured when a fire erupted in two air-conditioned coaches of the Tata Nagar to Ernakulam Express train. Railway officials ordered an investigation into the circumstances that led to the fire.

Andhra Train Fire: Two separate incidents were reported to have occurred on the Tata Nagar to Ernakulam Express. In one case, there was a fire that started in one of the air-conditioned coaches (AC) that was still on the tracks in Anakapalli District in Andhra Pradesh, India, and resulted in one death from that fire, and many passengers were able to escape.

Passenger Killed, Others Evacuated Safely

Andhra Train Fire: The fire created a state of panic among the passengers. At the same time, the Railway Local Authorities began their emergency response to deal with the fires that broke out in two AC coaches.

Railways Take Immediate Action

This incident appears to have occurred around 01:30 AM on Monday morning, and the fire began near the Yelamanchili area of the Visakhapatnam Railway Division. The B1 and M2 AC coaches were both located near the pantry coach when the flames were first seen.

The fire produced large amounts of smoke that filled the two coaches so rapidly that all the passengers on board had to evacuate from the train after the Railway Personnel got the train stopped due to an emergency.

Probe Ordered to Determine Cause

The cause of the fire is under investigation, and forensic and technical specialists have been deployed. Officials stated that strict disciplinary measures would be taken against any personnel found negligent in the execution of their duties.

In the meantime, railway officials have assured all passengers of a full review of the railway’s safety protocols to prevent future occurrences of similar rail disasters.
