Arvinder Singh Lovely Resigns From the Position Of Delhi Congress President Over THIS Reason

Arvinder Singh Lovely resigns as Delhi Congress President amid an alliance dispute with the AAP, claiming dissatisfaction with party choices.

Arvinder Singh Lovely: Before the Lok Sabha elections, Congress suffered a significant setback in Delhi. The party’s state president, Arvinder Singh Lovely, has resigned. He submitted his resignation to Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, expressing his disappointment.

Delhi Congress Unit’s Stand Against AAP Partnership

He stated in the letter that the Delhi Congress unit opposed the alliance with the party, which was created only on the basis of false, concocted, and malicious corruption claims against the Congress. Despite this, the party chose to forge an alliance with the AAP in Delhi.

Arvinder Singh Lovely indicated in his resignation letter that he is hampered for a variety of reasons and believes he is unable to continue as President of the Delhi Party unit. In the letter, he wrote, “On August 31, 2023, I was appointed the President of Delhi Congress, for which I express my gratitude to the party. I have made every effort to re-establish the party in Delhi in the last 7-8 months to ensure that the party returns to the position it once had.”

Arvinder Singh Lovely’s Efforts to Revive Congress

Lovely further wrote, “Everyone knows the condition of the party unit when I was given charge in August 2023. Since then I have worked hard to revive many parties and re-energize their local workers. I re-inducted hundreds of local party workers and local leaders into the party, who had either left the party or become inactive even though the party had not organized any major event/rally in the city for many years. I also ensured that all the 7 parliamentary seats of the city were covered through rallies and programs as there was very little time left for the general elections.”

Accusations of Arbitrary Actions by Delhi In-charge

Arvinder Singh Lovely, who resigned as state president, stated that the AICC General Secretary (Delhi in-charge) arbitrarily overturned all agreed decisions made by senior Delhi Congress leaders. The AICC General Secretary refused to allow me to make any top appointments in DPCC. My request for the hiring of an experienced leader in the media was flatly refused.
